TX/OU Weekend

We had such a busy TX/OU weekend! It was a long awaited weekend of beautiful weather and a chance to hang out with friends. It seems like the times we do get to see friends we see all of them in once clean swoop, and this weekend was no different.

Saturday we planned on joining Ben & Lindsey at their place to watch the TX/OU game and cook-out. We were packed and ready to go and then we had a surprise visit from Meg & Evelyn!

Originally we were going to have Meg babysit Ella that evening, but our plans fell through. Evelyn was so disappointed, but I think they're visit made up for it.

After the visit we headed to see Aunt Lindsey & Uncle Ben. We always have such a great time with them and they love Ella so much. We did what we do best when we got there...cooked-out, ate, and drank beer! Ella had an accident when we arrived, so we decided naked baby was the way to go, plus her bow matched Lindsey's chairs.

We spent the rest of the evening watching Lindsey entertain Ella. Lindsey get very excited, so she laid down the blanket and went to town - it was pretty hilarious!

We ended crashing over there, which was fine with Ella, but tiring for us. We drove home at 5am with one very wide awake, happy baby. Luckily, by the time we made it home she was ready to go back to sleep. When she woke up, Jeff decided a photo shoot was in order. I'll spare you the entire reel.

Jeff loves the "NEW" onsie and since it probably won't fit her within the week, he had to get some shots of her in it. She's such a trooper.

We had another special treat later that morning when Mary & Kyle came over to have brunch with us. They were in town for the TX/OU game and decided to drop by on their way out of town. Mary and Kyle are expecting Baby Herbert in January - we can't wait to meet her!

Tillman's Roadhouse recently started serving brunch, so we decided to go check it out. WOW! It was amazing. We love that place any way, but there brunch is fantastic. I strongly recommend this place for any meal of the day.

After brunch Kyle decided he was still hungry...

Man, I am loving Mary's little baby bump. They're going to be fantastic parents and I'm sure Mary will have plenty of time to perfect how she "hugs" babies.

And if we hadn't had enough fill of our friends, we decided to meet up with CW & Kayci at Eno's. They recently got married on July 24th and we were so sorry to miss their big day. CW's brother, Allen was in town, so we all had a great time!

The Newlyweds

We got home after a long, fun-filled weekend to take one last picture of our girl. Her Aunt Kelly gave her this ghost shirt and we couldn't get enough!

Oh, and in case you were wondering, Texas lost!
